Already an established child actor, rising American star Ty Simpkins is about to be thrown into the global spotlight after being cast in Shane Black's new 1970s drama The Nice Guys alongside Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling.

Simpkins, previously known for roles in Insidious and Iron Man 3, will also be seen in a lead role in Jurassic World in 2015. With no professional training under his belt, Simpkins has learned on the job starting with his first role in American TV show One Life to Live when he was just three weeks old, and appearing in nearly 50 episodes of The Guiding Light throughout his childhood. Now entering his teens all eyes are on the young actor as he tries to lose the child star label.
