TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp and film director Richard Curtis have helped open a new Maggie's Centre in Oxford, which is to bring additional support for people with cancer across the region.
The charity, which has been running for 18 years, provides free practical, emotional and social support for family and friends. Allsopp, whose mum died from breast cancer, commented 'I feel extremely proud to support the excellent work Maggie's does and honoured to be involved in the opening. I've realised the importance and value of having the right support to complement medical treatment'.
