Classic FM has announced Katherine Jenkins is to join its weekend line-up, following her VIP gig at The Ivy this weekend.

Jenkins will present a 12 week series of The Katherine Jenkins Collection, selecting pieces she believes are the perfect introduction to classical music, every Sunday at 2pm from October 5. Alexander Armstrong also joins the station, hosting a two hour slot on Saturdays at 3pm, from September 27. Jenkins said 'It's a privilege to introduce people to classical music for the first time, but I also look forward to playing something special for those who love the genre already'.
