Chloe Madeley backs #NoFearGoSmear

02 09 2014

TV presenter Chloe Madeley has announced her support for ITV This Morning's #NoFearGoSmear campaign as part of Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month, calling on more women to attend their smear tests when invited.

Madeley, who recently had 'abnormal cells' following a test at 25, said 'If I hadn't have gone [for my smear test] not only would I have had the virus and the abnormalities and the changes and not known, but I could be well on my way to having cervical cancer and have no idea… and I'm only 27, I'm only two years older than the required screening age so I'm really passionate about getting it out there and telling women to go and get checked'.
