The New York City Ballet has announced collaborations with a number of designers for its Fall Gala in September.

Carolina Herrera, Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen and Mary Katrantzou along with New York designer Thom Browne are to create costumes for ballets choreographed by Peter Martins, Liam Scarlett, Troy Schumacher and Justin Peck. The gala will also feature costumes designed by Valentino in 2012 for a performance of Christopher Wheeldon's This Bitter Earth.
