Manchester United footballer Juan Mata has been announced as patron of a new scholarship, supported by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, at the University Camilo José Cela in Madrid.

The scholarship aims to help enable the education of students with limited resources. Mata, who's an ambassador of the Laureus Foundation Spain, commented 'I believe that to join education and sport together is always positive and can help improve our society. I hope this scholarship helps to achieve this'.
