Surrey-born 19 year old Gavi Singh Chera, a member of the National Youth Theatre's Playing Up course in 2014, is set to make his professional stage debut at the National Theatre in David Hare's new play Behind the Beautiful Forevers.

Starring alongside Meera Syal and Stephanie Street, RADA trained Chera is among a host of success stories from the National's Youth programme - now in its fifth year - with previous graduates going on to land roles in programmes such as Youngers, The Musketeers and The Smoke. Paul Roseby, Artistic Director of the NYT, described the young actor as an 'exciting raw talent'.
