21 07 2014

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has announced plans for a new cultural and educational quarter at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London, launching an international design competition to find a team of architects, engineers and landscape designers for the project.

The design, Olympicopolis, will bring together organisations, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and University College London, to showcase art, dance, history and science. Johnson has also announced plans to re-zone the three Stratford stations from zone 3 to zone 2/3 effective from January 2016, as part of the initiative.
