Former footballer and manager Robbie Fowler has been announced as an official ambassador for Liverpool FC.
Fowler, who joined the club's academy at the age of nine and achieved a first-team debut by 18, left the team in 2001 to play for Leeds United and Manchester City, before rejoining Liverpool in 2006. He commented 'I'm looking forward to representing this great club and will do all I can to support success both on and off the pitch'. As part of his role Fowler will attend matches, work with commercial partners, support club-wide initiatives and work as a mentor at the academy.
