Manchester United has announced an agreement with adidas for a 'global technical sponsorship and dual branded licensing deal', which begins in the 2015/2016 football season.
adidas replaces Nike, which has sponsored the team for the last 13 years, and is set to pay the club more than £750m over the ten year partnership. adidas CEO Herbert Hainer commented 'Our new partnership with Manchester United clearly underlines our leadership in football and will help us to further strengthen our position in key markets around the world'.
