Former Hollyoaks star Alex Roe is about to make the successful transition into Hollywood after being cast in big budget sci-fi film Fifth Wave, alongside Kick Ass's Chloë Grace Moretz.

His casting in the flick, set to begin filming in September, comes just a month after the actor recorded a pilot for ABC Family titled Unstrung, in which he plays a gifted tennis player. British-born Roe was previously seen on screen in the UK in dramas such as Doctors and The Fugitives.
