Cedella Marley supports The Reggae Girlz

30 06 2014

Cedella Marley, daughter of the late Bob Marley, has been appointed as ambassador of Jamaica's National Senior Women's football team Reggae Girlz, which is seeking contributions to fund and support its qualification for the 2015 World Cup tournament in Canada.

The team has launched a crowdfunding campaign with Indiegogo, with Island Records providing 'exclusive perks' to put towards raising money for the cause. Marley commented 'I am so happy to be an ambassador, to be able to be a voice for the Reggae Girlz. It is the right time for everyone to get together and support the Reggae Girlz'.
