The BBC has announced the launch of an annual music awards ceremony as part of its new music strategy, which focuses on emerging talent, digital, and landmark programming.

The BBC Music Awards take place December 11, hosted by Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton, and feature live performances along with categories including British Artist of the Year, International Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
