Actress Jennifer Garner is expanding her role with Save the Children by joining its Board of Trustees.
As an ambassador with the charity, she focused on bringing literacy and child development programmes to her home state of West Virginia, advocated on Capitol Hill for the organisation, and travelled to California's Central Valley, Kentucky and West Virginia to see the effects of poverty first hand. Garner commented 'All children, whether they are born into poverty or affluence, have the right to grow up healthy, learn and make something of their lives'.
