London based author Renee Knight is set to be the next big name in the British book industry - her debut novel Disclaimer has just been bought by Transworld for a reported six-figure sum and is set for release in 2015.

The psychological thriller, which has already generated film interest, is based on a character who encounters herself in a novel she's reading, and has been described by her Transworld editor Sarah Adams as 'sublime plotting in a cancel-all-plans, one-sit read'. Knight graduated from the Faber Academy Writing a Novel course in April 2013, and has also worked as a BBC scriptwriter and producer.
