Rising French actor Pierre Niney joined the prestigious Comédie-Français theatre at the age of 21, and has starred in a number of French films including It Boy, Romantics Anonymous and Like Brothers.

This year he's set to make the leap into the mainstream after being cast as Yves Saint Laurent in Jalil Lespert's biopic about the iconic French fashion designer. Niney has already received a stamp of approval from Laurent's former lover and business partner Pierre Bergé, who is said to have been moved to tears by the 24 year old's performance. Showing his commitment to the role by learning fashion design and drawing, and undergoing voice coaching to ensure he embodied the designer, Niney looks sure to enjoy further leading roles in the future.
