Gemma Cairney takes new slot at Radio 1

Gemma Cairney, who currently presents the weekend breakfast show on BBC Radio 1, has landed a new slot on the station, and is to present the early breakfast show from 4-6.

30am during the week, replacing Dev who will swap to take up the weekend breakfast show. Cairney, who's part of the BBC's Glastonbury TV coverage and won a 2013 Sony Radio Academy Gold Award for her documentary on teenage domestic violence, makes the move on March 31.
