All eyes will be on 19 year old Sam Strike and his onscreen father Danny Dyer this Christmas when the pair make their debut on EastEnders as part of new family the Carters.

While critics eagerly watch Dyer's performance as Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter, Strike – previously seen on children's BBC TV series MI High - will soon take centre stage in a hard-hitting storyline playing gay teen Johnny, who's desperately trying to keep his sexuality a secret from his father. As publicity surrounding Dyer's appearance on the popular soap dies down, attention will switch to Strike in the new year as the show's plot sees him come out after he's caught kissing Gary Lucy's bi-sexual character Danny Pennant.
