Born and based in New York, Ansel Elgort is making a name for himself on screen by featuring in lead roles in two of next year's most anticipated films.

After attending stage school LaGuardia and acting with Alexis Bledel on Broadway in Regrets, his big break came this year when he played Tommy Ross in the remake of Carrie alongside Chloë Grace Moretz. He looks set to crack the teen market in 2014 when he stars first as Caleb Prior in Divergent and later as cancer-stricken Augustus Waters in The Fault In Our Stars, the film adaptation of John Green's much-loved young adult novel. As a sideline to his film work he also makes dance music under the name Ansølo.
