The Estate Of Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has become the first patron of Speur-Ghlan, a small Scottish autism charity.
Palmer-Tomkinson has previously worked with music therapy charity Nordoff Robins, and decided to extend her interest in autism to Speur-Ghlan after reading about the role of patron on Twitter. The charity delivers early intervention programmes for young children diagnosed with autism or with developmental delays, using a range of approaches including play and music based therapy sessions. Palmer-Tomkinson commented 'I have been following with admiration the tireless work [Speur-Ghlan] does to bring help to children who have an autism diagnosis or developmental delay, and very importantly, the families and friends who surround them'.
