MSNBC has announced Ronan Farrow is to join the network as host of a new one hour weekday programme, currently in development and set to air in 2014.

The 25 year old son of actress Mia Farrow, known as a human-rights activist and journalist, was also a foreign policy official in the first Obama administration. Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC, described his show as 'a game changer for MSNBC, representing a fresh approach to how we deliver news'.
