Young Brit Sophie Cookson made headlines in September 2013 after landing the female lead in Matthew Vaughn's 2014 feature The Secret Service, alongside Colin Firth, Samuel L Jackson and Taron Egerton, a role which Emma Watson and Bella Heathcote auditioned for.

While she goes into the film relatively unknown, Cookson's credits include TV film Unknown Heart and Sky's mini-series Moonfleet.
