New Zealand born singer/songwriter Ella Yelich-O'Connor, aka Lorde, was signed by Universal Records at only 12 years old and hit the headlines in 2013 after becoming the first solo female in 17 years to reach the coveted number 1 spot on Billboard's Alternative chart with her single Royals.

Following the success of her debut EP The Love Club, 16 year old Lorde is set to release debut album Pure Heroine October 28 in the UK.
