29 year old London playwright Kirkwood is set to be the West End’s next big thing as her east meets west China based play, Chimerica, transfers to the Harold Pinter Theatre this month.

A writer in residence at the Clean Break Theatre Company, Kirkwood’s other credits include Geronimo, Tinderbox and Grady Hot Potato, in which she also starred in 2005. The Edinburgh University alumni, who was also on the writing team for hit TV show Skins, is currently working on her first TV series, The Smoke, which will receive its premiere on Sky1 later this year.
