Channel 4 has commissioned two new music pilots for Friday nights, with a view to extending to a full series in the autumn.
That Music Show is to be fronted by Nick Grimshaw, combining a pop quiz about the past, present and future of music with a live gig, while Smells Like Friday Night is a magazine show fronted by Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule of Rizzle Kicks. Channel 4 Head of Formats Dominic Bird said the aim is to bring 'a mainstream audience to music'.
