Sky Sports has announced 2014 Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley is to become a Sky Sports ambassador and join the on-air commentary team in a two-year partnership, which sees him join the Sky Sports golf team at selected events, including this week's BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

In his role as ambassador he's to wear Sky Sports HD branding on his clothing at all Tour events and competitions as he prepares for the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles. McGinley's also to promote the Sky Sports Living for Sport initiative which supports grassroots sport and encourages participation.
