Morrissey calls for inquiry into Imperial College animal cruelty

10 05 2013

Morrissey has joined the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection in calling for an independent investigation into evidence of animal suffering and poor practice at an Imperial College research laboratory.

A BUAV investigator who worked undercover at the laboratory for seven months found wrongdoings, including a failure to provide adequate anaesthesia and pain relief, incompetence and neglect, and 'highly disturbing methods' used to kill animals. Morrissey is joined in his concerns by Brian May, who was 'shocked and saddened' by the 'appalling cruelty'.
