Best known as a player on America's long-running comedy variety show Saturday Night Live, this Iranian-American actress began her career at comedy companies The Groundlings and ImprovOlympics.

Now the longest-running female member of the current cast, Pedrad is set to leave the show for upcoming sitcom created by SNL writer John Mulaney, based on his life experiences. Tipped as the next 30 Rock, the show is likely to see Pedrad follow in the footsteps of other SNL alumni, who've made it to international stardom, including Kristen Wiig and Tina Fey.
