Fields in Trust appoints William, Duke of Cambridge as new President

09 04 2013

The Duke of Cambridge has been appointed President of Fields in Trust, the working name of The National Playing Fields Association, a charity that campaigns to save playing fields.

The 30 year old Duke replaces his grandfather The Duke of Edinburgh, who's announced his retirement from the role, and was patron of the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, during which he promoted the appeal and visited fields around the country.
