Chatham Dockyard Trust has announced that The Prince of Wales has become its patron for a five year period, effective immediately.

Admiral Sir Ian Garnett KCB, Chairman of Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust commented 'This underscores our reputation as a nationally important heritage destination with a strong future', and Bill Ferris, Chief Executive of the trust, added 'The fact that he has agreed to be Patron of the entire Historic Dockyard Chatham site is huge recognition of the work that we are doing in bringing this sensitive heritage site in the heart of Medway back to life'.
