The Mail on Sunday has announced it's to launch new celebrity and culture magazine, Event, hitting newstands April 14.

The magazine's to feature celebrity, film, music, books and theatre news and include a seven day guide to TV and radio. Gordon Thomson, former editor of Sunday Times digital and Time Out London, has been appointed editor of the supplement, which will also be published digitally.
