Media mogul Simon Cowell has announced he's to launch new production company, Over The Top Productions, through Syco Entertainment and its global head of TV, Nigel Hall.

The venture is to focus on the development of niche TV productions and Charles Garland, global chief exec of Syco, commented 'This is an exciting next step for Syco Entertainment in our expansion plans and reflects our commitment to fostering creativity'.
