Businesswoman Karren Brady has been announced as the Stroke Association's first Life After Stroke Awards patron.
The West Ham owner, who survived a brain aneurysm in 2006, said she was 'thrilled and delighted' to be involved with the awards, which recognise the courage of stroke survivors and carers.
