Michael Attenborough stepping down as Artistic Director of the Almeida

Michael Attenborough has announced that after 11 years as Artistic Director at north London's Almeida Theatre he is to step down next spring to concentrate on his directing career.

He said 'after running theatres for the past 32 years, I now want to concentrate solely on my directing'.
