Following its recent move to a seven day publishing model, The Mirror has appointed new weekend and weekday editors.

Peter Willis is set to edit the paper on weekdays, while Alison Phillips has been made weekend editor. The announcement follows the departure of ex-Daily Mirror editor Richard Wallace and former Sunday Mirror editor Tina Weaver, and Lloyd Embley, Editor of both papers, said 'Peter and Alison are superbly talented journalists whose creativity, drive and instinct are exactly what we need'.
