Angelina Jolie appointed special envoy of UNHCR chief

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has announced that ambassador Angelina Jolie will take on a new and expanded role as Special Envoy of High Commissioner António Guterres.

The actress has served as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador for the last decade, conducting over 40 field visits around the world. In her new role, she will focus on complex emergencies and work to facilitate lasting solutions for people displaced by conflict.
