CEO of Protagonist Pictures Ben Roberts has been appointed the new Director of the BFI Film Fund.

He joins the organisation as it prepares to publish its Forward Plan proposals next month, and will oversee the development, production, distribution and exhibition of new British films. Roberts' previous roles include Vice President of Worldwide Acquisitions for Universal Pictures, and General Manager for UK distributor Metrodome.
