Tony Award-winning director Stephen Daldry has joined the Board of non-profit organisation Tuesday's Children, which works with children and families affected by the events of September 11, 2001.

Daldry developed close links with the charity whilst working on his recent film Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, based on the 9/11 attacks, saying 'My goal was to make a movie not just about one day but about the profound and complex effects of such a tragedy and how we must never forget. Tuesday's Children never forgets'.
