Fledgling theatre company 1927, whose critically acclaimed show The Animals And Children Took To The Streets is currently playing at the National’s Cottesloe Theatre, is set to join the Young Vic as an associate company.

It will take up residency in the theatre's Jerwood Pod, following in the footsteps of The Opera Group, which throughout its four years in residence co-produced the Evening Standard Award-winning Street Scene and The Human Comedy.
