Nick Hewer has been revealed as the new host of Channel 4's Countdown, following in the footsteps of Richard Whitely and Jeff Stelling.
The deal allows him to stay on with BBC1's The Apprentice, and he begins filming with maths star Rachel Riley next month, ready to appear on screens for the first time January 9.
