French label Sonia Rykiel has named Scottish designer April Crichton as its new creative director.
Crichton was instrumental in launching the Sonia by Sonia Rykiel diffusion line back in 1998, and marked the new appointment by appearing alongside Nathalie Rykiel at the brand's spring/summer 2012 show in Paris.
