American R&B stars The Black Eyed Peas will headline a New York concert to launch MTV World Stage, a music initiative aiming to connect fans to the latest music worldwide.

Volkswagen are the presenting partner of the initiative, which supports the global launch of the 21st Century Beetle in New York, Shanghai and Berlin. Concerts will take place in the three cities on April 18, with 2manydjs performing at the World Stage Party in Berlin. The New York concert will be streamed live on the World Stage Hub, and clips shown on MTV UK, April 22 at 9pm.
