Rising Stars: Abraham Popoola

Abraham Popoola, a British film, TV and theatre actor, is set to star in Amazon Prime's upcoming horror series The Rig, alongside Martin Compston and Iain Glen, due for release later this year. This marks his second leading role of 2022 - Popoola plays Joey Boy in Channel 4's new comedy drama The Curse, which launched in February, and follows minor roles in the 2021 film Cruella and in TV series including Breeders, The Great, and Starstruck. The London based RADA graduate has already received acclaim for his theatre work, winning the Stage Debut Award for Best Actor in a Play for his part in Othello, in 2017.
